The role will primarily manage BIS/CRS, ISI, WPC ETA, BEE, EPR, and environmental compliance requirements, while supporting the organization through regulatory changes, Quality Control Order (QCO) implementation, audits, and transition to revised regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Monitor regulatory notifications and assess their potential impact on existing and upcoming products.
2. Maintain regulatory databases, certification records, approval trackers, compliance calendars, and supporting documentation.
3. Identify compliance gaps and coordinate corrective actions with relevant stakeholders.
4. Support BIS CRS and ISI certification activities for IT and consumer electronic products, including mobile phones, TVs, laptops, tablets, hearables, wearables, and large appliances.
5. Coordinate WPC ETA approvals for RF-enabled/wireless products.
6. BEE compliance for televisions, including star labelling, registration, reporting, label implementation and labeling fees submission.
7. Manage Environmental Compliance and EPR obligations covering e-waste, battery waste, and plastic waste.
8. Ensure timely completion of annual/quarterly EPR returns, registrations, reporting, target management, and related statutory requirements.
9. Liaise with BIS, BEE, WPC, CPCB/concerned authorities, testing laboratories, and regulatory consultants for certifications, approvals, clarifications, audits, and compliance matters.
10. Support internal business,



product engineering, quality, and legal teams during QCO implementation, regulatory changes, product launches, and transition periods.
11. Coordinate with global HQ, factories, suppliers/vendors, and legal teams to ensure regulatory documentation and product strategies are aligned with Indian requirements.
12. Ensure products are launched and maintained in the Indian market in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.

Requirements

- Strong knowledge of Indian product certification and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with BIS/CRS and other applicable electronics regulatory frameworks.
- Strong understanding of consumer electronics/mobile product compliance.
- Excellent coordination and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Valuable understanding of product development and supply-chain processes.
- Ability to manage multiple product launches and certification projects simultaneously.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior management, HQ teams, government authorities, laboratories and external agencies.
- Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, Electrical, Telecommunications, Regulatory Affairs or a related field.
- A postgraduate qualification in Regulatory Affairs, Compliance or Management would be an advantage.
