Job Summary

We are looking for a technically strong and proactive Estimation & Design Engineer with hands-on knowledge of Electrical LT Control Panels. The candidate will be responsible for understanding customer requirements, reading SLDs, preparing BOQs/BOMs, estimating panel costs, and designing electrical control panels.

The ideal candidate should have valuable knowledge of PCC, MCC, APFC, PLC, VFD, Soft Starter and Distribution Panels, along with the ability to take technical decisions and communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Study and understand customer specifications, technical requirements and Single Line Diagrams (SLDs).
- Read and interpret SLDs for panel costing and estimation.
- Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) for Electrical LT Control Panels.
- Prepare, review and analyse BOQs and carry out BOQ removal / quantity take-off as required.
- Prepare accurate cost estimation and techno-commercial quotations for electrical control panels.
- Estimate and understand the requirements of:
- PCC – Power Control Centre Panels
- MCC – Motor Control Centre Panels
- APFC – Automatic Power Factor Correction Panels

- PLC Control Panels

- VFD Panels

- Soft Starter Panels

- Distribution Panels
- Other LT Electrical Control & Distribution Panels
- Select appropriate electrical components and prepare BOMs based on technical requirements.
- Have a strong understanding of ACBs, MCCBs,



MCBs, Contactors, Relays, Starters, VFDs, Soft Starters, APFC Components, Busbars, Metering and Protection Devices.
- Coordinate with purchase/vendors for obtaining and evaluating component prices.
- Analyse vendor/OEM quotations and ensure competitive and technically appropriate costing.
- Assist in the design and engineering of Electrical LT Control Panels.
- Prepare and review panel GA, schematic/control drawings and other engineering documents.
- Coordinate with production and execution teams to ensure that the design is practical and manufacturable.
- Interact with customers for technical clarifications and requirement understanding.
- Independently take appropriate technical and commercial decisions related to estimation and design.
- Ensure accuracy of costing, BOM, component selection and technical documentation.
- Support the sales team during technical discussions and quotation finalisation.

Technical Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of Electrical LT Control Panels.
- Good understanding of PCC, MCC, APFC, PLC, VFD, Soft Starter and Distribution Panels.
- Ability to read and understand Electrical SLDs.
- Experience in Panel Estimation & Costing.
- Knowledge of BOM preparation and BOQ analysis / removal.
- Knowledge of electrical component selection and sizing.
- Understanding of busbar sizing,



incomer/outgoing feeders, protection devices and control components.
- Knowledge of panel design and electrical control circuit design.
- Ability to prepare accurate technical and commercial quotations.
- AutoCAD knowledge will be an added advantage and is preferred.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel for estimation and costing.

Qualification & Experience
- ITI / Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering preferred.
- 2–6 years of relevant experience in Electrical Control Panel Estimation & Design.
- Candidates with experience in LT Panel Manufacturing / Electrical Panel Industry will be preferred.
- Practical experience in panel estimation, costing and design will be an advantage.
