Job Purpose:

To ensure reliable, safe, and productive operation of all electrical systems and equipment in the plant by executing preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance while complying with GMP, safety, and regulatory requirements in a nutraceutical manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Electrical Maintenance & Operations

Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance of all electrical systems.

Ensure uninterrupted power supply and efficient distribution across plant operations.

Maintain electrical equipment including transformers, DG sets, HT/LT panels, motors, drives, UPS systems, and utilities.

Monitor energy consumption and implement initiatives for energy optimization.

2. Breakdown Management

Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis of electrical failures.

Ensure minimal downtime through quick response and corrective actions.

Maintain proper documentation of breakdown reports and corrective measures.

3. Utility Systems Management

Oversee electrical aspects of utilities such as HVAC, chillers, compressors, boilers, AHUs, and water systems.

Coordinate with utility and production teams to ensure continuous operations.

4. Compliance & Documentation

Ensure compliance with

GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)

Safety standards (Electrical Safety, LOTO, statutory norms)

Audit requirements (internal, external, regulatory)





Maintain updated SOPs, maintenance records, and logbooks.

5. Project & Improvement Activities

Support installation, commissioning, and validation of new equipment.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen, cost reduction, and automation.

Participate in plant expansion and modification projects.

6. Team Management

Supervise and guide technicians and shift engineers.

Allocate work and monitor performance to meet maintenance KPIs.

Conduct training and skill development programs for the team.

7. Vendor & Spare Management

Coordinate with vendors for AMC, service, and procurement of electrical components.

Ensure adequate inventory of critical spares.

Qualification:

Education:

- BE/Diploma (Mechanical/Electrical/instrumentation)

Experience:

- 2- 8 years of experience

Skills & Competencies:
