Client File

Review &

- Quotation

- Review client design files (Gerbers, BOM, pick-and-place/centroid, assembly drawings, schematics) for completeness and manufacturability.

- Identify missing information, ambiguities or DFM/DFA concerns, and clarify them with the client before quoting.

- Obtain quotes for:

- Components: full BOM pricing across multiple distributors, including availability, MOQ, lead times and alternates.

- PCB fabrication: layer count, material, thickness, copper weight, finish, impedance control and other specs.

- PCB assembly: SMT, THT, mixed assembly, stencils and inspection.

- Special processes: LED soldering, wire/harness soldering, connectors, conformal coating, potting, enclosures.

- Identify requirements for programming, functional testing, calibration or other value-added services, and include them in the quote.

- Prepare accurate, well-structured quotations for clients with clear cost breakups and lead times.

1. Order Execution (Confirmed Orders)

- Procure the complete PCB BOM by comparing multiple sources (authorised distributors, local suppliers, brokers where appropriate) on price, availability, authenticity and lead time.

- Suggest and validate alternate/equivalent parts when components are obsolete, long-lead or out of stock, and get client approval where needed.

- Place and track fabrication orders with PCB manufacturers.

- Place and track assembly orders with EMS/assembly partners, and ensure kits, files and instructions are complete.

- Decide which work is done in-house versus outsourced (e.g., rework, LED/wire soldering, programming, testing) and plan it accordingly.

1. Internal Coordination

- Coordinate with internal teams for in-house assembly, soldering, programming, testing and QC.

- Share transparent work instructions, test requirements and timelines with the internal team.

- Maintain order trackers covering component status, fab status, assembly status and dispatch.

Vendor Management &
- Technical Support

- Act as the technical interface with fabrication and assembly vendors, answering design, stackup, footprint, polarity, orientation and assembly queries.

- Review and approve engineering queries (EQs), fab/assembly DFM reports and first-article samples.

- Build and maintain a reliable network of component, fabrication and assembly vendors, domestic and international.

- Negotiate pricing, lead times and payment terms.

1. Quality &
- Troubleshooting

- Inspect received bare boards and assembled PCBs for defects.

- Troubleshoot issues on received boards (soldering defects, wrong/missing parts, shorts, opens, polarity errors, fab defects) using basic lab equipment.

- Perform root-cause analysis on quality issues and coordinate rework, replacement or vendor corrective action.

1. End-to-End Ownership

- Own each PCB order from enquiry to delivery, making sure it is on time, on budget and to the required quality.

- Proactively flag risks (shortages, delays, cost overruns) to clients and management.

- Maintain documentation: quotes, POs, BOM versions, vendor communication, test reports.

Required Qualifications &

- Skills

Education

- B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Electronics / Electronics &
- Communication / Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Experience

- At least 3 years of experience in PCB sourcing, electronics procurement, EMS/PCBA operations, or hardware development.

Technical Knowledge

- Strong understanding of the PCB fabrication process: layers, stackups, materials (FR4, high-Tg, aluminium, etc.),



surface finishes, via types, impedance control and tolerances.

- Positive knowledge of PCB assembly processes: SMT, THT, reflow, wave/selective soldering, AOI, X-ray and rework.

- Ability to read and interpret Gerbers, BOMs, schematics, assembly drawings and pick-and-place files.

- Familiarity with at least one EDA tool/viewer (KiCad, Altium, Eagle, OrCAD, or Gerber viewers).

- Strong knowledge of electronic components: packages, part numbering, datasheets, alternates, lifecycle status (active/NRND/EOL).

- Hands-on experience with debugging tools such as multimeter, oscilloscope, power supply and soldering station.

- Basic understanding of firmware programming/flashing and functional testing of boards.

Sourcing Knowledge

- Experience with component distributors (e.g., Digi-Key, Mouser, LCSC, Element14, Arrow, and local suppliers).

- Experience working with PCB fab and assembly houses (domestic and/or overseas).

- Understanding of import processes, customs, lead times and logistics is a plus.

- Awareness of counterfeit component risks and how to mitigate them.

Soft Skills

- Excellent coordination and follow-up discipline.

- Clear communication with clients, vendors and internal teams.

- Strong ownership mindset and ability to handle several orders at once.

- Good negotiation skills.

- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for BOM costing and tracking.

Valuable to Have

- Experience in an EMS company or electronics contract manufacturer.

- Knowledge of IPC standards (IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610, J-STD-001).

- Experience with ERP/inventory systems.

- Hands-on soldering and rework skills.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
