About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Electricity Cost Optimization Process and Reporting Consultant to help us design, standardize, and automate processes for identifying electricity-cost savings across large commercial and industrial portfolios in India.

This is a temporary, part time, remote opportunity of 3 months.

Our energy savings software already contains electricity billing, consumption, connection, tariff, and savings-related data. The successful candidate will use this existing data to create repeatable audit processes, automated reports, dashboards, alerts, and management insights that help clients reduce electricity-related Opex.

The ideal candidate will understand Indian DISCOM billing and electricity-cost optimization, while also being capable of translating business requirements into structured workflows and report formats that can be generated automatically by our software.

Key Responsibilities

- Review the data already available in our energy savings software and identify opportunities to improve data structure, validation, classification, and reporting.
- Design standardized processes for:

1. Electricity bill and consumption analysis
2. Tariff and connection review
3. Billing anomaly detection
4. Prepaid recharge and consumption analysis
5. Savings opportunity identification

- Define the data fields, calculations, business rules, thresholds,



and workflows required to automate electricity-cost analysis.
- Create report formats and dashboard specifications that can be automatically generated from existing software data.
- Develop standardized outputs for:

1. Connection-level analysis
2. Site-level cost and consumption performance
3. Business-unit and portfolio-level savings
4. Billing anomalies and data-quality issues
5. Tariff and load optimization opportunities
6. Prepaid and postpaid electricity performance
7. Identified, approved, implemented, and realized savings

- Convert complex electricity billing and consumption data into clear, commercially actionable insights for finance, facilities, operations, procurement, and energy teams.
- Define automated alerts for:

1. Unusual consumption patterns
2. Sudden increases in electricity cost
3. Billing discrepancies
4. Duplicate or unexpected charges
5. Tariff mismatches
6. Demand or load-related issues
7. Prepaid balance and recharge concerns
8. Missed savings opportunities

- Establish standard calculation methodologies for energy cost, savings potential, annualized savings, payback, and realized savings.
- Create templates for recurring client reports, including executive summaries, detailed exception reports, savings trackers, and implementation status reports.

Must Have Experience/Preferred Background
- Experience in electricity-bill auditing, energy consulting, utility-cost optimization,



energy management, business-process design, reporting automation, or a closely related field.
- Experience working with large datasets containing electricity bills, meter readings, payment or recharge records, connection details, and consumption history.
- Experience in one or more of the following: Energy consulting, Utility-bill auditing, Telecom infrastructure, Retail or branch networks, Data analytics or business intelligence
