Electrical Engineer

We are looking for a hands-on Electrical Engineer with 25 years of relevant experience who can independently handle electrical engineering documentation while also providing technical support during production, integration, inspection, testing, and commissioning.

Candidates with prior exposure to Defence projects, shelter integration, EMI/EMC requirements, and customer inspection activities will be given preference.

Qualification: B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical / EEE

Experience: 2-5 Years

Role Objective:

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design, preparation, implementation, inspection, testing, and technical support of electrical systems and installations in accordance with customer specifications, engineering standards, safety requirements, quality norms, and project schedules.

The role requires close coordination with Engineering, Production, Quality, Procurement, Projects, customers, and inspecting agencies to ensure reliable and timely execution of electrical activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and support electrical wiring systems, electrical assemblies, components, and associated installations.
- Read, interpret, review, and prepare electrical drawings, schematic diagrams, wiring diagrams, and electrical layouts.
- Prepare Electrical Bills of Materials (BoM), cable schedules, layouts, and other engineering documentation based on customer specifications and project requirements.
- Coordinate with customer representatives and inspecting agencies for technical discussions, inspections, observations, compliance requirements, and closure of electrical-related queries.
- Support the selection, installation, and integration of electrical components and equipment.
- Work on AC power distribution, control circuits, earthing/grounding systems, cable sizing, cable routing, termination,



and cable management.
- Provide technical support to the shop floor and coordinate with Production, Quality, Procurement, and Project teams for smooth execution of project activities.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues, perform fault diagnosis, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Support electrical testing, inspection, validation, and commissioning activities.
- Ensure adherence to applicable electrical safety practices, engineering standards, installation procedures, and quality requirements.
- Maintain proper engineering documentation, inspection records, drawings, revisions, and other project-related records.
- Monitor assigned activities and ensure completion in line with project timelines and quality requirements.

Technical Knowledge & Skills

Candidates should have:

- Positive knowledge of electrical wiring systems, components, and their applications.
- Good understanding of electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Basic knowledge of AC power distribution and control circuits.
- Knowledge of cable sizing, routing, termination, and cable management practices.
- Understanding of earthing and grounding systems.
- Knowledge of electrical panel wiring and equipment installation.
- Good troubleshooting, fault-finding, and problem-solving abilities.
- Understanding of electrical safety requirements and relevant installation practices.
- Ability to work effectively in both an engineering office and shop-floor environment.
