Position Details:-

Job Title: EHS Officer

Department: Fire & Safety

Location: Cuttack Unit

Reporting To: Sr. Manager Maintenance & EHS

Grade/Band: O1

Key Responsibilities:-

· Ensure compliance with applicable fire, health, safety, and environmental regulations.

· Conduct regular safety inspections and hazard identification throughout the plant.

· Perform risk assessments and recommend corrective and preventive actions.

· Monitor safe operation of production processes, utilities, and material handling activities.

· Inspect and maintain firefighting systems, fire extinguishers, hydrants, alarms, and emergency equipment.

· Organize fire drills, emergency response exercises, and evacuation procedures.

· Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare investigation reports with corrective actions.

· Conduct safety induction and awareness training for employees and contractors.

· Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and enforce safety procedures.

· Monitor hot work, confined space entry, work at height, electrical safety, and permit-to-work systems.

· Maintain statutory records, safety documentation, inspection reports, and compliance registers.

· Support environmental management by monitoring waste handling,



chemical storage, and pollution control practices.

· Promote continuous improvement through safety campaigns, toolbox talks, and employee engagement.

Compliance & Governance:-

- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Maintain compliance with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Support internal and external audits.

Educational Qualification:-

Essential:

· Graduate with degree / diploma in Safety Management.

Preferred:

- DIS / DFS

Experience:- Minimum Experience Required:02 - 04 Years

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹360,000.00 per year
