Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with hands-on experience in cable and wire design. The candidate will be responsible for developing cable designs, preparing technical drawings and specifications, performing electrical calculations, and coordinating with production, quality, and procurement teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop power, control, instrumentation and industrial cables as per customer requirements.
- Prepare cable construction drawings, datasheets, BOMs and technical specifications.
- Perform electrical calculations for current carrying capacity, voltage drop, conductor sizing and insulation requirements.
- Select suitable conductors, insulation, sheath, shielding, armouring and other cable components.
- Develop cable designs based on applicable IS / IEC / customer specifications.
- Review customer drawings, technical specifications and enquiry requirements.
- Prepare costing and material requirements for new cable designs.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Purchase and R&D; for design implementation.
- Support recent product development,



product improvement and cost reduction activities.
- Analyze technical issues related to cable construction, performance and manufacturing.
- Prepare and maintain design documentation, revision records and technical reports.
- Support testing and validation of cables as per required standards.
- Ensure designs are practical for manufacturing and meet required quality standards.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of cable construction and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of LT/HT cables, control cables, instrumentation cables or industrial cables.
- Understanding of conductor sizing, insulation, shielding and armouring.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD / electrical design software.
- Good understanding of IS, IEC and customer-specific cable standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.

Preferred Experience Candidates from wire & cable manufacturing, electrical equipment, power transmission, industrial cable or electrical product design industries will be preferred.
