Minimum Qualification

The Deputy Chief SHE officer is responsible for the strategic development, implementation, and oversight of all health and safety policies and procedures across project sites. This role ensures that all operations are conducted in compliance with L&T; safety standards and regulations, while fostering a proactive safety culture across the organization.

Strategy &

• Leadership

- Develop and implement the company's HSE (Health, Safety &

• Setting) strategy.

- Lead and manage the HSE team.
- Serve as the principal advisor to executive leadership on safety risks, performance, and compliance.

Safety Management &

• Compliance

- Ensure compliance with national safety regulations, including ISO 45001, OSHA.
- Establish and monitor KPIs for safety performance, reporting regularly to leadership and regulatory bodies.
- Conduct risk assessments and HAZOP studies for projects.
- Develop emergency response plans and drills tailored to hydrogen related incidents.

Culture &

• Training





- Promote a zero-incident safety culture throughout the organization.
- Lead training programs and safety inductions for all levels of staff, contractors, and partners.
- Implement Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) programs to encourage safe work practices.

Stakeholder &

• Regulatory Engagement

- Liaise with external stakeholders including government agencies, environmental groups, and local communities on safety matters.
- Prepare and manage all required safety documentation and permits.

Qualification criteria Dy Chief SHE Officer shall have minimum qualification in any of the following degree/diploma:

- B.E/B.Tech with Govt. recognized full time Diploma in Safety
- BE/B.Tech in Safety
- PG Degree in Environmental Engineering/Science with full-time safety diploma/degree
- CSP, NEBOSH Diploma, Grad IOSH, CMIOSH.
