Drone Engineer

nCloudtronics is looking for an experienced Drone Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. The role involves designing, building, and testing drone systems.

nResponsibilities

n

- Design drone airframes, components, and mounts in CAD
n
- Prototype and assemble drone parts and complete systems
n
- Integrate and test motors, ESCs, flight controllers, sensors, and power systems
n
- Configure, tune, and troubleshoot flight control software using ArduPilot and PX4
n
- Carry out bench and flight testing, analyse flight logs, and improve designs
n

nRequirements

n

n
- Minimum 5 years of production setting experience in the drone / UAV sector
n
- Hands-on experience designing and assembling drone parts
n
- CAD design skills (e.g. SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar)
n
- Working knowledge of ArduPilot and PX4
n
- Experience with electronics integration, wiring, and soldering
n
- Creative, out-of-the-box approach to problem solving
n

nDesirable

n

n
- Valid drone pilot licence
n
- Familiarity with MAVLink, ROS, or companion computers such as Rpi, Nano.
n

nMinimum Qualification

n

n
- Aerospace/Mechatronics engineering degree required
