Job Summary The Driver cum Maintenance Person is responsible for providing safe and reliable driving services for hospital-related activities while also carrying out routine maintenance, repair, and upkeep of hospital facilities, equipment, and vehicles. The role requires a responsible, service-oriented individual who can respond promptly to operational and maintenance requirements.

Key Responsibilities1. Driving Duties

- Drive hospital vehicles safely and responsibly for official hospital requirements.
- Transport doctors, staff, patients, documents, medicines, medical supplies, and other authorized materials as required.
- Ensure the vehicle is clean, properly maintained, and roadworthy at all times.
- Conduct routine checks of fuel, tyres, brakes, lights, engine oil, coolant, and other essential vehicle components.
- Maintain vehicle logbooks, fuel records, service records, and other required documentation.
- Follow all traffic rules and hospital policies.
- Report vehicle defects, accidents, or maintenance requirements immediately to the concerned supervisor.

1. Maintenance Duties

- Carry out basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general repair work.
- Attend to minor repairs and maintenance issues in patient rooms, offices, corridors, washrooms, and other hospital areas.
- Check and report faults in electrical switches, lights, fans, plumbing fixtures, doors, locks, furniture, and other facilities.
- Assist external technicians and contractors during repair and maintenance activities.
- Ensure maintenance tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
- Conduct routine inspections of hospital premises and report maintenance issues promptly.




- Support preventive maintenance activities as instructed by the Facility Manager.

1. Hospital Support

- Assist hospital staff with shifting furniture, equipment, supplies, and other materials when required.
- Support the hospital during emergencies, special events, and other operational requirements.
- Follow hospital safety, infection-control, fire-safety, and security procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of assigned work areas and vehicles.
- Handle hospital property and equipment responsibly.

Qualifications
- Minimum 10th / 12th standard qualification preferred.
- Valid driving licence appropriate for the hospital vehicle.
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant driving experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general maintenance work.
- Previous experience in a hospital, clinic, hotel, apartment, office, or similar facility will be an advantage.

Skills and Competencies
- Good driving and vehicle-handling skills.
- Basic troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Ability to handle minor electrical and plumbing repairs.
- Good knowledge of road safety and traffic regulations.
- Physically fit and capable of performing maintenance-related duties.

- Ability to work flexible schedule and respond to urgent requirements.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding patients and hospital matters.

Working Conditions
- The position involves both driving and physical maintenance work.
- May require working on weekends, holidays, shifts, or outside normal working hours depending on hospital requirements.
- May be required to respond to emergency maintenance or transportation requirements.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
