Sr. Manager – Design Engineering Department: Engineering Reports to: Head of Engineering Location: Ahmedabad corporate office Experience: 5-10 years Employment type: Full time CTC: To be discussed ROLE PURPOSE Own the electrical design of our BESS projects end to end: support BD with the electrical side of proposals, and once an order is confirmed, deliver the detailed electrical engineering through to approval and commissioning.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Pre-bid support to BD • Prepare proposal-stage AC/DC SLDs, block layouts and the electrical scope for BESS offers.

- Carry out bid-stage sizing and selection of PCS, MVPS/transformers and switchgear, and prepare grid-compliance statements.
- Answer electrical queries from customers and owner’s engineers during bids. Detailed engineering (after order confirmation) • Develop detailed SLDs, plant electrical layouts, cable routing, earthing and lightning protection layouts.
- Size and select components: PCS, transformers, HT/LT switchgear, cables, auxiliary supply, UPS, relays and CT/PT.
- Carry out design calculations (cable sizing, voltage drop,



short circuit, earthing, relay coordination, auxiliary load) and grid studies (load flow, harmonics, LVRT/HVRT).
- Prepare equipment specifications and datasheets, and technically evaluate vendor offers with procurement.
- Get drawings approved by the customer/owner’s engineer, close comments and control revisions.
- Support FAT, site commissioning and as-built documentation.

REQUIREMENTS • B.E./M.Tech Electrical (Power Systems) with 6–10 years in electrical design of utility-scale solar, BESS or hybrid projects.

- Hands-on with SLDs, layouts and sizing calculations; proficient in AutoCAD.
- Working knowledge of ETAP, PSCAD or PSS/E.
- Familiar with IS/IEC standards, CEA regulations and the grid code.
- Has taken drawings through customer or owner’s-engineer approval. PREFERRED • Experience across developer/IPP, EPC, OEM or consultant roles.
- Exposure to both utility-scale and C&I; / solar-park storage projects.
