Design Engineer – Fabrication

Experience

Minimum 2 Years of relevant experience in Fabrication / Heavy Fabrication

Qualification

- B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in fabrication design and detailing.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and detailed manufacturing drawings based on project requirements.
- Develop and modify 2D and 3D models for fabricated components and structures.
- Interpret customer drawings, specifications, and engineering requirements.
- Prepare GA drawings, part drawings, weld details, and BOM (Bill of Materials).
- Ensure designs are suitable for fabrication, welding, machining, and assembly.
- Select appropriate materials, sections, plate thicknesses, and fabrication methods as per requirements.
- Provide proper welding symbols, dimensions, tolerances, and GD&T; wherever required.
- Coordinate with Production, Welding, Quality, and Project teams to resolve design and fabrication-related issues.
- Review shop-floor feedback and modify drawings/designs to improve manufacturability.
- Check drawings for accuracy before releasing them for production.
- Support design changes, engineering revisions, and drawing updates.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable customer specifications, standards, and project requirements.





Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of fabrication and welding processes.
- Good understanding of structural and heavy fabrication.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of SolidWorks / Creo / Inventor or other 3D CAD software will be an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings.
- Knowledge of welding symbols, joint types, tolerances, and material specifications.
- Good understanding of BOM and material planning.
- Knowledge of DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and fabrication feasibility.
- Positive problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.

Pay: ₹16,500.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
