Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of ETL solutions using DataStage and IBM InfoSphere for enterprise data integration needs.
- Translate business and technical requirements into detailed ETL designs, mappings, and job flows; estimate effort and plan deliveries.
- Build and optimize DataStage jobs, stages, and sequences to ensure performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Implement robust error handling, restartability, logging, and monitoring patterns to improve operational reliability.
- Conduct code reviews, enforce development standards, and mentor team members to improve overall delivery quality.
- Collaborate with source/target system owners, analysts, and downstream consumers to validate data rules and integration logic.
- Support testing cycles (unit, system, and UAT), troubleshoot defects, and drive root-cause analysis for production issues.
- Maintain technical documentation for ETL designs, job dependencies, runbooks, and support procedures.

Minimum

Qualifications:

- Education: BTECH, MTECH, MCA, MSC (or equivalent).




- 5–9 years of experience in ETL development with solid hands-on expertise in DataStage.
- Strong working experience with IBM InfoSphere and enterprise ETL delivery practices.
- Proven ability to design, develop, and support ETL pipelines with a focus on data quality and performance.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and owning deliverables end-to-end.

Preferred

Qualifications:

- Experience leading technical delivery, guiding solution design decisions, and mentoring developers in an ETL/data integration team.
- Strong understanding of ETL architecture patterns, job orchestration, dependency management, and operational support readiness.
- Demonstrated ability to optimize ETL performance through efficient design, parallelism, and tuning approaches within DataStage/InfoSphere environments.
- Experience driving quality practices such as reusable frameworks, standardized templates, and review checklists to improve consistency and speed of delivery.
- Strong stakeholder management skills—able to clarify requirements, communicate risks, and align delivery plans with business priorities.
