- Lead end-to-end ETL development using IBM InfoSphere DataStage, from requirements gathering to production deployment.
- Design, develop, and maintain DataStage jobs, sequences, and reusable components aligned to business and technical needs.
- Drive data integration across multiple sources/targets, ensuring correctness, completeness, and consistency of delivered datasets.
- Perform performance tuning and optimization of ETL jobs, including parallelism, partitioning, and resource utilization improvements.
- Establish and enforce ETL standards, coding practices, naming conventions, and documentation for maintainability.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement preventive fixes to improve stability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan releases, manage dependencies, and ensure smooth handoffs across environments.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to developers, including reviews of job design, error handling, and performance patterns.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline (BTech/BE/MTech/MCA/MSc or equivalent).




- 5–9 years of experience in ETL development with strong hands-on expertise in IBM InfoSphere DataStage.
- Solid understanding of ETL concepts including data extraction, transformation, loading, and orchestration.
- Experience delivering production-grade data pipelines with strong focus on reliability, monitoring, and support readiness.
- Ability to translate functional requirements into technical ETL designs and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Preferred

Qualifications:

- Experience leading ETL workstreams, owning technical delivery, and coordinating across teams for successful releases.
- Solid expertise in ETL design patterns including incremental loads, CDC-style approaches, restartability, and robust error handling.
- Hands-on experience with IBM InfoSphere ecosystem and best practices for enterprise data integration.
- Proven ability to improve ETL performance through tuning, workload optimization, and scalable job design.
- Experience creating clear technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures for production support teams.

Good to have skills: SQL, Data Warehousing, Unix/Linux Shell Scripting, Control-M, Git
