TCS is hiring for the role "PostgreSQL Database Administrator" Experience : 7 to 10 years Location : Chennai Interview Mode : Virtual Interview : We are looking for an experienced PostgreSQL Database Administrator (Postgres DBA) to join our team. The ideal candidate should have 7 to 10 years of experience in PostgreSQL database administration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, and database security.

Responsibilities

- Database Administration: Install, configure, and maintain PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MSSQL databases.
- Performance Tuning: Analyze and optimize database performance for scalability and efficiency.
- Backup and Recovery: Implement and test backup and disaster recovery plans.
- Cross-Platform Support:



Manage databases on both Linux and Windows Server environments.
- Solid hands-on expertise in PostgreSQL
- Proficiency in SQL, shell scripting, and database monitoring tools.
- Solid understanding of replication, clustering, and high availability setups.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Good to have

- Exposure to Postgress/ Mongo cloud database services (OCI).
- Familiarity monitoring tools like ops manager, Prometheus and Grafana, SolarWinds
- Knowledge of data modeling and ETL processes.
