Role Description

We are looking for a Cyber Security Software Engineer for a full-time, on-site opportunity based in Morena, Madhya Pradesh, India.

The role is suitable for fresh graduates and technology professionals interested in cybersecurity engineering, secure software development, application security, vulnerability management, network security, cloud security, API security, threat detection, automation, and modern security technologies.

The Cyber Security Software Engineer will work closely with software, IT, infrastructure, data, operations, engineering, and other business teams to develop, test, secure, monitor, troubleshoot, and improve software applications, APIs, systems, networks, cloud environments, security controls, automation tools, and digital platforms.

The role may involve working with Python, Java, C/C++, C#, JavaScript, Go, security-testing tools, SIEM platforms, vulnerability scanners, cloud-security services, authentication systems, network-analysis tools, secure coding practices, and modern cybersecurity technologies depending on project and business requirements.

Qualifications

- B.E. / B.Tech / B.Sc. / BCA / MCA / M.Sc. / M.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Cyber Security, Information Security, Computer Applications, Electronics, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline.
- Freshers and experienced candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Candidates with 0–5 years of experience in cybersecurity, security engineering, application security, software engineering, secure development, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, cloud security, network security, SOC operations, or related technology roles can apply.
- Candidates currently working as Cyber Security Software Engineer, Cyber Security Engineer, Security Engineer, Application Security Engineer, Information Security Engineer, SOC Analyst, Security Analyst, Vulnerability Analyst, Penetration Tester, DevSecOps Engineer,



Cloud Security Engineer, Software Engineer, Junior Security Engineer, or Associate Security Engineer are encouraged to apply.
- Candidates from IT services, SaaS, product companies, technology, consulting, fintech, e-commerce, telecom, analytics, manufacturing, logistics, FMCG, or other industries are welcome.
- Basic to good knowledge of cybersecurity principles, common threats, vulnerabilities, attack vectors, risk management, and security controls.
- Knowledge of at least one programming or scripting language such as Python, Java, C, C++, C#, JavaScript, Go, Bash, PowerShell, or a similar language will be beneficial.
- Understanding of secure coding practices, input validation, authentication, authorization, session management, encryption, error handling, and software-security fundamentals.
- Familiarity with OWASP Top 10, web-application security, API security, secure SDLC, or common application vulnerabilities will be beneficial.
- Basic understanding of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP/HTTPS, OAuth, JWT, authentication, authorization, web services, and API-security concepts.
- Familiarity with SAST, DAST, dependency scanning, software composition analysis, code scanning, or vulnerability-management tools will be advantageous.
- Exposure to tools such as Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, Nessus, OpenVAS, Qualys, Nmap, Wireshark, Metasploit, or similar security tools will be beneficial but is not mandatory.
- Basic understanding of vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, remediation, security testing, risk prioritization, and vulnerability reporting.
- Familiarity with networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, ports, protocols, firewalls, VPNs, proxies, routing, network segmentation, and intrusion detection will be beneficial.
- Exposure to Linux, Windows, command-line tools, shell scripting, system hardening, access controls, permissions, logs, and security configuration will be advantageous.
- Familiarity with SIEM, SOC, log analysis, security monitoring, alert investigation, threat detection, or tools such as Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, QRadar, ELK, or similar platforms will be beneficial.
- Exposure to endpoint security, EDR/XDR, antivirus, malware analysis, incident response, digital forensics,



or threat-hunting concepts will be considered an additional advantage.
- Exposure to AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, IAM, cloud logging, security groups, firewalls, encryption, secrets management, or cloud-security concepts will be beneficial.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, containers, CI/CD, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or DevSecOps practices will be advantageous.
- Exposure to Git, GitHub, version control, code reviews, security reviews, debugging, and team-oriented software-development workflows.
- Basic understanding of SQL, databases, database security, access controls, encryption, backup, recovery, and secure data handling will be beneficial.
- Familiarity with identity and access management, MFA, RBAC, privileged access management, SSO, certificates, TLS, keys, or secrets management will be advantageous.
- Exposure to incident response, security operations, threat intelligence, forensic analysis, malware analysis, or security-event investigation will be considered an additional advantage.
- Familiarity with security frameworks or standards such as ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, CIS Controls, SOC 2, or similar frameworks will be beneficial but is not mandatory.
- Exposure to automation using Python, Bash, PowerShell, APIs, scripts, or security-orchestration tools will be advantageous.
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Jira, SDLC, technical documentation, risk documentation, security assessments, requirements gathering, or issue tracking will be beneficial but is not mandatory.
- Good analytical, logical, troubleshooting, debugging, investigation, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication, documentation, collaboration, and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to understand technical and business requirements and contribute to practical, secure, reliable, scalable, and maintainable software and security solutions.
- Willingness to work in an on-site environment.
- Internship, academic project, cybersecurity project, ethical-hacking lab, CTF participation, secure coding project, vulnerability-assessment project, cloud-security project, GitHub project, hackathon, freelance assignment, or open-source contribution will be considered but is not mandatory.
- Candidates without previous full-time cybersecurity experience can also apply.
- Strong willingness to learn new security tools, programming languages, attack techniques, defensive technologies, cloud platforms, and modern cybersecurity practices.
