About The Role We are seeking a highly experienced Cybersecurity Expert to join our team on an hourly contract basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to advanced AI research and evaluation projects focused on cybersecurity.

The successful candidate will leverage their extensive knowledge and experience to develop realistic enterprise cybersecurity scenarios, create reference outputs, and build comprehensive evaluation frameworks. These frameworks will be instrumental in assessing security operations, incident response strategies, risk management practices, and governance protocols in real-world settings. The role is remote, providing flexibility and the chance to work with a dynamic team dedicated to pushing the boundaries of cybersecurity research and application.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of five years of professional experience in cybersecurity roles such as Security Engineer, CISO, or Security Lead.



Candidates should have a proven track record of owning incident response, security architecture, or compliance initiatives within complex organizational environments.

A strong understanding of security operations, cybersecurity tools, risk management practices, and current threat landscapes is essential. Familiarity with established frameworks such as NIST CSF, SOC 2, ISO 27001, or EU NIS2 is required. Excellent analytical, technical, and communication skills are necessary to articulate complex security concepts effectively and produce detailed documentation.

Responsibilities

- Develop comprehensive cybersecurity scenarios encompassing SOC monitoring, incident response, digital forensics, vulnerability management, and security architecture design.
- Create and manage tasks related to threat detection, penetration testing, security engineering, and governance, risk, and compliance (GRC).
- Design realistic scenarios utilizing tools such as Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, CrowdStrike, Tenable, Qualys, and enterprise GRC platforms to simulate real-world security environments.
- Apply threat modeling, incident response, and risk assessment methodologies to ensure scenarios are robust and reflective of actual security challenges.
- Produce detailed incident reports, security assessments, architecture designs,



and compliance documentation to support evaluation and research objectives.
- Develop evaluation rubrics that differentiate authentic enterprise security judgment from generic or textbook knowledge, enhancing the quality and relevance of research outputs.

Benefits This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $80–$90, reflecting the level of expertise and experience required.
