About The Role

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Analyst to join our client's dynamic team on a full-time, remote basis. This role is pivotal in safeguarding the organization’s digital assets by monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security threats. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity, with the ability to identify vulnerabilities, investigate incidents, and implement effective security controls.

Qualifications

- Proven experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk, QRadar, or similar platforms.
- Deep understanding of network security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Familiarity with vulnerability assessment tools like Nessus, OpenVAS, or Qualys.
- Knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls.




- Strong analytical skills to interpret logs and network traffic for anomalies and threats.
- Experience with incident response procedures and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.

Responsibilities The Cyber Security Analyst will be responsible for a wide range of security activities, including but not limited to:

- Monitoring and analyzing security events from various sources such as SIEM tools, firewalls, and IDS/IPS systems to detect potential threats.
- Investigating security incidents thoroughly to determine their scope, impact, and root cause, and escalating issues as necessary.
- Implementing and maintaining robust security controls to mitigate risks and prevent future incidents.
- Conducting vulnerability assessments regularly and recommending appropriate remediation measures to address identified weaknesses.
- Preparing comprehensive incident reports that document findings, actions taken, and recommended improvements.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance security policies, procedures, and awareness programs.
- Staying updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and best practices to proactively defend organizational assets.
