The platform uses a gamified, quiz-first approach to test users’ understanding of African proverbs, traditions, rites of passage, festivals, folklore, and customs. Designed for Africans and the global diaspora, Superfan.ng makes learning engaging and interactive through culturally rich content.

The product aims to preserve and celebrate African heritage while offering a modern, accessible learning experience. Team members contribute directly to building a platform that connects communities through language and culture.

Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Content Creator at Superfan.ng.

The Content

Creator will research, ideate, and develop engaging quizzes and micro-lessons centered on African languages, proverbs, traditions, rites of passage, festivals, folklore, and customs. Day-to-day tasks include writing clear, concise questions and explanations, structuring content for gamified learning, and collaborating with product and design teams to ensure content aligns with the app experience. The role also involves maintaining a content calendar, refining existing content based on user feedback and performance data, and ensuring content accuracy and cultural sensitivity.

Creator will contribute to social and community content as needed to support user engagement and platform growth.

Qualifications

- Strong writing and storytelling skills, including the ability to create concise educational content and culturally rich narratives.
- Research skills to source, verify, and organize information on African languages, proverbs, traditions, folklore, and customs.
- Experience creating digital content for apps, e-learning platforms, or social media, with an understanding of gamified or interactive formats.
- Cultural competence and familiarity with one or more African regions, languages, or communities; ability to handle sensitive topics respectfully.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote, cross-functional team environment.
- Strong organizational skills, including managing a content pipeline and meeting deadlines in a fast-moving startup context.
- Comfort with basic digital tools (e.g., content management systems, collaboration platforms, spreadsheets) and willingness to learn recent tools.
- Previous experience in education, linguistics, African studies, or related fields is a plus, as is experience in edtech or content creation for learning products.
