Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Consultant Anaesthetist to join our clinical team. The candidate will be responsible for providing safe and effective anaesthesia care across surgical and obstetric procedures, with particular exposure to obstetric, gynecological and emergency cases.

The ideal candidate should have strong clinical judgment, excellent patient-safety practices, and the ability to work effectively with surgeons, obstetricians, pediatricians, and critical-care teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative anaesthesia care.
- Conduct comprehensive pre-anaesthetic assessments and evaluate patients for surgical fitness.
- Administer and monitor general, regional, spinal, epidural, and other appropriate forms of anaesthesia.
- Provide anaesthesia support for obstetric and gynecological procedures, including emergency obstetric cases.
- Monitor patients continuously during procedures and ensure appropriate post-operative recovery.




- Provide support for emergency surgeries and critical-care situations.
- Work closely with surgeons, obstetricians, pediatricians teams and other clinical departments.
- Maintain accurate anaesthesia records and ensure adherence to hospital protocols.
- Ensure compliance with patient-safety, infection-control, and anaesthesia-related standards.
- Participate in emergency and on-call duties as per the hospital roster.

Qualifications & Experience

Educational Qualification:

- MD / DNB in Anaesthesiology from a recognized institution.
- DA (Diploma in Anaesthesiology) candidates with relevant experience may also be considered.

Experience:

- 2–7 years of post-PG experience preferred.
- Experience in a hospital handling obstetric, gynecological, and emergency cases will be preferred.
- Candidates with experience in high-risk obstetric anaesthesia will be preferred.

Registration:

- Valid registration with the applicable medical regulatory authority, including Bihar Medical Council / National Medical Commission (NMC) registration, as applicable.
