Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Color Stone Grader to join our IT Services division. In this critical role, the successful candidate will be responsible for the precise evaluation, classification, and documentation of colored gemstones. This position is vital for maintaining the integrity of our inventory and ensuring that all stones meet the highest standards of quality and authenticity. The ideal professional will possess extensive hands-on experience in gemological analysis and will play a key part in our operational workflow by applying advanced techniques to identify and sort precious materials.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct rigorous visual and instrumental analysis of colored gemstones to determine their color grade, clarity, and overall quality.
- Utilize specialized optical equipment, including loupes, microscopes, refractometers, polariscopes, and dichroscopes, to examine stone characteristics and detect internal features.
- Identify and catalog specific inclusions and optical properties to authenticate gemstones and distinguish them from imitations or treated stones.
- Perform systematic sorting of colored gemstones based on established grading criteria to ensure consistency in the final product.




- Prepare comprehensive documentation for each gemstone, recording detailed findings regarding color, clarity, and identification results.
- Execute precise color stone grading procedures in accordance with industry best practices and organizational standards.

Requirements

Requirements:

- Minimum of 4 to 9 years of professional experience in gemstone grading, sorting, or a related field within the gemological industry.
- Proficiency in operating essential gemological tools such as loupes, microscopes, refractometers, polariscopes, and dichroscopes.
- Demonstrated expertise in identifying inclusions, analyzing optical properties, and accurately identifying various colored gemstones.
- Strong capability in performing detailed gemstone documentation and maintaining accurate records of grading results.
- Proven track record in executing color stone grading and sorting processes with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of gemological principles and the ability to apply them effectively in a skilled setting.

Compensation
