Role Description The Collections Manager role at WNS is a full-time, on-site position based in the Pune Division. This role is responsible for overseeing collections operations, including managing a team of collection agents, monitoring account portfolios, and ensuring timely recovery of outstanding receivables while maintaining positive customer relationships.

The Collections

Manager will set performance targets, track key metrics, and implement process improvements to optimize recovery rates and compliance with regulatory and client requirements. Daily responsibilities include reviewing escalated accounts, coordinating with internal stakeholders and clients, resolving disputes, preparing reports,



and providing coaching and feedback to team members. The role also involves maintaining accurate documentation, adhering to quality standards, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the collections function.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong collections and credit control skills, including experience with receivables management, dispute resolution, and recovery strategies.
- Candidates should possess team leadership and people management skills, including performance management, mentoring, and conflict resolution.
- Candidates should possess analytical and reporting skills, including proficiency in using spreadsheets, dashboards, and collection systems to monitor KPIs and trends.
- Candidates should possess communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to handle difficult conversations and maintain professional client and customer interactions.
- Candidates should possess process and compliance skills, including familiarity with relevant regulations, internal controls, and best practices in collections operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience in collections or financial services may be considered.
- Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial collections role, ideally within a BPO or shared services setting, is beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in the Pune Division, manage shifting priorities, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
