Job Summary

Our Client is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead the company's finance function across its payments, lending, wealth management, and insurance businesses. The CFO will partner closely with the CEO and Board to shape financial strategy, safeguard the company's fiscal health, and build the reporting, controls, and capital-markets readiness needed to support company's next stage of growth, including potential IPO preparation. This is a high-visibility leadership role suited to a finance executive who can operate equally well as a strategic advisor to the CEO and as a hands-on custodian of day-to-day financial discipline.

The CFO will be responsible for translating business ambition into a sound financial roadmap, ensuring the organization maintains strong liquidity, capital efficiency, and regulatory standing as it scales across multiple fintech verticals. Working closely with cross-functional leaders, the incumbent will strengthen financial planning and analysis, drive cost and margin discipline, and institutionalize governance practices that meet the expectations of investors, regulators, and future public-market stakeholders. The role also carries responsibility for building a high-performing finance team capable of supporting company through its next phase of scale, complexity, and capital-raising activity.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualifications & Requirements

- Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in finance, accounting, or economics.
- Certifications: CA, MBA, or CMA.
- Experience: 18-20 years of progressive, high-level experience in corporate finance, with prior exposure to fintech, BFSI,



or financial services preferred.
- Skills: Solid financial and data analysis capability; expert knowledge of financial software, with SAP B1 proficiency required.
- Leadership: Demonstrated experience leading and scaling a finance and accounts team of comparable size.
- Capital Markets Exposure: Experience with investor relations, fundraising, and IPO documentation is highly desirable.

Role & responsibilities

- Strategic Planning: Partner with the CEO to build long-term financial plans, annual budgets, and rolling forecasts aligned with business strategy.
- Financial Reporting: Oversee preparation of accurate financial statements, manage statutory and internal audits, and ensure full tax and regulatory compliance.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow and working capital, manage debt facilities, and oversee treasury and investment decisions.
- Risk Management: Identify and analyse financial and business liabilities, assess market and credit risks, and establish robust internal financial controls.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting organization, building capability across accounting, FP&A;, treasury, and compliance.
- Stakeholder Relations: Serve as the primary finance contact for investors, banks, and the Board; lead fundraising, banking relationships, and IPO documentation and readiness.
- Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to RBI/fintech regulatory requirements, corporate governance norms, and industry-specific compliance standards.
- Business Partnering: Provide financial insight and decision support to business heads across payments, lending, wealth management, and insurance.
- Preferred: Prior CFO/senior finance leadership experience within the fintech industry (at least 5 years).
