We are looking for a CFD Engineer – Aerospace & Defence with 3–5 years of relevant experience to support the design, simulation, optimization and performance validation of aerospace and defence systems.

The ideal candidate should have strong fundamentals in Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, Turbomachinery Aerodynamics and CFD, along with hands-on experience in meshing, CFD modelling, post-processing and correlation of simulation results with experimental/test data.

The candidate will be expected to apply a first-principles-based engineering approach to solve complex problems and independently execute CFD analysis and optimization activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform CFD simulations and aerothermal analysis for aerospace, defence and turbomachinery applications.
- Carry out CFD analysis based on sound fundamentals of Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer and Turbomachinery Aerodynamics.
- Develop high-quality, simulation-ready meshes for complex geometries.
- Select appropriate mesh size, refinement levels and meshing strategies based on physics, geometry and required accuracy.
- Identify and resolve meshing and simulation-related challenges efficiently.
- Set up and execute CFD models, including appropriate boundary conditions, solver settings and convergence criteria.
- Perform post-processing and interpretation of CFD results to generate meaningful engineering insights.
- Support design optimization and performance improvement based on CFD analysis.
- Correlate CFD results with experimental and test data and investigate deviations where required.
- Apply first-principles engineering methods to solve complex aerothermal and fluid-flow problems.
- Work independently on assigned simulation projects while coordinating with Design, R&D;, Testing and other engineering teams.
- Prepare technical reports, analysis summaries and documentation of simulation results.

Technical Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of Fluid Mechanics and Heat Transfer.




- Strong understanding of Turbomachinery Aerodynamics.
- Strong fundamentals in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
- Hands-on experience with different meshing techniques for complex geometries.
- Good understanding of mesh quality, mesh independence and appropriate refinement strategies.
- Experience in CFD modelling, simulation and post-processing.
- Experience in design optimization using CFD.
- Ability to correlate CFD results with experimental/test data.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Software Skills The candidate should have hands-on experience with relevant engineering and CFD software, preferably:
- ANSYS Fluent
- ANSYS CFX
- ANSYS SpaceClaim
- Fluent Meshing
- HTRI
- UG NX
- SolidWorks

Candidate Profile
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in CFD simulation, aerothermal analysis or turbomachinery applications.
- Engineering degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical or a related discipline.
- Solid theoretical and practical understanding of CFD and fluid-flow analysis.
- Experience working with complex geometries and challenging meshing requirements.
- Ability to independently identify and troubleshoot simulation and meshing issues.
- Strong analytical approach with the ability to apply first-principles engineering concepts.
- Good technical communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Experience in aerospace, defence, turbomachinery or high-performance engineering applications will be an advantage.

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
