Role Description The Carrier Advisor is a full time, on-site role based in Manchester, NJ, responsible for managing and optimizing relationships with insurance carriers and other payers. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing carrier policies and requirements, coordinating claim submissions, monitoring claim status, and following up on denials or underpayments to ensure accurate reimbursement.

The role involves collaborating with billing, revenue cycle, and compliance teams to resolve carrier-related issues, reduce turnaround times, and support continuous improvement in financial workflows.

The Carrier

Advisor will document and communicate carrier updates, assist in training team members on carrier guidelines,



and contribute to process enhancements that improve financial performance and regulatory alignment.

Qualifications

- Experience working with insurance carriers, payers, or revenue cycle operations in a healthcare setting, including claims processing and reimbursement follow-up.
- Knowledge of medical billing, coding basics, and healthcare compliance standards (such as HIPAA and payer-specific rules).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret carrier policies, identify trends in denials or delays, and recommend corrective actions.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with carriers, internal teams, and stakeholders in a clear, professional manner.
- Proficiency with practice management or billing systems and standard office productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, databases, and reporting tools).
- Ability to work on-site in Manchester, NJ, manage multiple priorities, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
- Prior experience in healthcare finance, medical office administration, or revenue cycle roles is preferred.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or a related field is beneficial; equivalent experience will be considered.
