JOB SUMMARY

Health 4 U Super-Speciality Hospital is seeking a qualified and experienced Consultant Cardiologist to provide comprehensive cardiac care, including outpatient, inpatient, emergency and preventive cardiology services.

The Cardiologist will be responsible for clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of patients with cardiovascular diseases and will work closely with the Emergency, Internal Medicine, Critical Care, Radiology and other clinical departments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- OPD & Clinical Cardiology
- Conduct regular Cardiology OPD.
- Evaluate and manage patients with hypertension, coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, valvular heart disease, cardiomyopathy and other cardiovascular conditions.
- Provide cardiovascular risk assessment and preventive cardiology services.
- Develop appropriate investigation, treatment and follow-up plans.
- Provide pre-operative cardiac evaluation and cardiac fitness assessment where clinically indicated.
- Inpatient & Emergency Cardiac Care
- Attend cardiology referrals from IPD and Emergency.
- Manage acute cardiac conditions including acute coronary syndrome, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies and clinically significant arrhythmias.
- Participate in management of cardiac patients admitted to ICU/HDU.
- Provide emergency cardiology consultation and support according to the hospital's duty/on-call roster.




- Coordinate timely referral or transfer of patients requiring higher-level/interventional cardiac care when appropriate.
- Non-Invasive Cardiology The Cardiologist should be competent in performing and/or interpreting, as applicable:
- 12-lead ECG
- 2D Echocardiography
- Colour Doppler Echocardiography
- Treadmill Test / TMT
- Holter monitoring
- Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (ABPM)
- Pre-operative cardiac assessment
- Other non-invasive cardiac investigations available at the hospital
- Clinical Governance & Patient Safety
- Follow evidence-based clinical protocols and hospital SOPs.
- Maintain accurate OPD, IPD and procedure documentation.
- Ensure appropriate informed consent wherever required.
- Follow infection-control, medication-safety and patient-safety protocols.
- Participate in clinical audits, mortality/morbidity reviews and quality-improvement activities.
- Support NABH and other statutory/accreditation requirements applicable to the department.
- Department Development
- Assist management in developing and expanding the Cardiology Department.
- Establish clinical pathways and protocols for common cardiac emergencies and chronic cardiovascular diseases.
- Support development of preventive cardiology and cardiac health-check programmes.
- Participate in community cardiac screening programmes, medical camps and health-awareness activities.
- Conduct training/CME sessions for doctors,



nurses and other clinical staff.
- Coordinate with visiting/interventional cardiologists and tertiary cardiac centres whenever required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential

- MBBS from a recognised institution.
- MD/DNB in General Medicine or equivalent recognised postgraduate qualification.
- DM Cardiology / DrNB Cardiology or other qualification recognised for practice as a Cardiologist under applicable regulations.
- Valid medical registration as required under prevailing regulations.

EXPERIENCE

Previous independent experience in Cardiology OPD, inpatient cardiac management, emergency cardiology and non-invasive cardiac diagnostics is preferred.
