S tructure o Role : Business Analyst, Strategic Partnerships Office.

o Reports to : Chief Resource Development Officer.

o Location : ICTS-TIFR, Bengaluru.

Context Of The Role The Strategic Partnerships Office is a function at ICTS-TIFR, responsible for building philanthropic and institutional support for the centre. The office is in its foundational phase, establishing the processes, systems, donor intelligence, and cultivation infrastructure that will support fundraising activity over the coming years.

The Business Analyst role will provide analytical, research, and systems capability to the office, so that the function is built on structured information and disciplined execution rather than reconstructed retrospectively.

Key Responsibilities o Research and intelligence

- Conduct structured research on prospective donors — individuals, family offices, foundations, and corporates — producing profiles that combine capacity, inclination, and connection information.
- Support historical donor analysis, including reconstruction of past giving, fund deployment, and relationship history from institutional records.
- Track developments in Indian and international philanthropy, science funding, and comparable institutions, and flag material developments to the CRDO.
- Maintain a working reference base on regulatory and structural matters — FCRA, endowment management, tax treatment, TIFR-routing conventions — updated as questions arise.

o Analytical and planning support
- Support the annual planning cycle — budget preparation, target-setting, and tracking of progress against plan.
- Prepare analytical inputs for pitch development, gift structuring, and donor conversations, including gift-table and pricing work.
- Model scenarios for institutional needs, portfolio composition, and funding-mix questions.
- Build and maintain dependency maps, progress trackers, and internal dashboards for major deliverables.

o Systems and process design




- Contribute to the design of internal processes across the office — donor management, cultivation cadence, stewardship protocols, and reporting workflows.
- Support the specification, build, and rollout of the Donor Management System, including data model, user flows and reporting layer.
- Maintain the office's document architecture, e.g. templates, classification schemes, and record structures, to a standard consistent with a research institution's audit and governance requirements.

o Documentation and reporting
- Draft internal notes, meeting summaries, and briefing material for the CRDO and, as required, for the Director and governance bodies.
- Prepare the weekly and periodic reporting cycle for internal audiences.
- Maintain the office's institutional record, e.g. meeting records, decisions, information points etc. as a permanent, referenceable log.

Required Qualifications And Experience o Graduate degree in Science or Commerce areas. Post-graduate degree or diploma is a plus. Preference for study areas like Statistics, Analytics, Data Science, Mathematics etc. o 3 to 5 years of professional experience in a role with substantial analytical, research, or systems responsibility. Backgrounds in consulting, corporate strategy, investment or credit analysis, foundation research, or think-tank work are a major plus.

o Demonstrated ability to structure ambiguous problems, gather relevant information, and produce written analysis to a quality that supports institutional decisions.

o Solid command of spreadsheet-based modelling, structured document preparation, and standard office productivity tools.

o Demonstrable ability an experience using AI models for data analysis and interpretation is a major plus.

o Fluency in written and spoken English.
