Brand & Growth Lead
Location: Delhi
Working model: Full-time, five days in office
Compensation: based on experience and fit
About Suvāa
Suvāa is a premium women’s footwear brand built around a simple belief: women should not have to choose between beauty and comfort.
We design footwear for women, combining original design, thoughtful engineering and handcrafted production. With in-house manufacturing and a growing base of customers across India, we are entering the next phase of building Suvāa into a distinctive Indian brand with global potential.
We are a small, ambitious and fast-growing D2C team. The environment is hands-on, collaborative and high-ownership.
The role
We are looking for a Brand & Growth Lead who will maintain a bull’s-eye focus on Suvāa’s brand every day.
Your role will be to translate that vision into consistent, high-quality execution - and ensure that everything customers see, hear and experience moves the brand and business forward.
You will review what is going out, identify what is missing, connect insights across channels and keep teams aligned. You should be equally comfortable discussing a campaign idea, reviewing a creative, examining a performance dashboard and improving the way a customer experiences the brand.
This is not a role in which every responsibility must be activated every day. Different workstreams will operate at different cadences: content and creative may require daily attention, performance and creator reviews may happen weekly, campaigns will intensify around launches, and PR, partnerships or international growth will be activated when strategically relevant.
What remains constant is your ownership of the brand’s day-to-day expression and growth.
Key responsibilities
1. Brand stewardship
- Work closely with the Founder to translate Suvāa’s brand vision into campaigns, content and customer experiences.
- Act as the day-to-day custodian of the brand across all customer-facing touchpoints.
- Ensure consistency in how Suvāa looks, sounds and communicates without allowing the brand to become repetitive or predictable.
- Review creative work with a strong eye for brand fit, consumer relevance and commercial purpose.
- Identify gaps between the intended brand experience and what customers actually encounter.
1. Marketing and campaign planning
- Build and manage the annual, quarterly and monthly marketing calendar.
- Translate product launches, seasonal priorities, inventory considerations and business goals into integrated marketing plans.
- Structure pre-launch, launch and post-launch communication across relevant channels.
- Define the objective, audience, core message, content requirements, channel plan and success metrics for each campaign.
- Coordinate timelines and dependencies across the Founder, footwear designers, visual designer, performance team, creators and operations team.
- Conduct post-campaign reviews and convert learnings into stronger future plans.
1. Organic and performance creative strategy
- Shape the content strategy across product storytelling, founder-led content, customer stories, UGC, artisanship, educational content and behind-the-scenes narratives.
- Develop clear creative briefs for statics, videos, carousels, landing pages and performance advertisements.
- Work closely with the visual designer and content partners to generate and execute new creative ideas.
- Review organic and paid content for its hook, message, visual treatment, product clarity and call to action.
- Build a structured system for testing creative angles, formats, messages and customer personas.
- Use organic and paid performance insights to decide what should be improved, scaled, refreshed or discontinued.
You will not be expected to personally design every creative or produce every piece of content. You will be expected to know what needs to be created, why it matters and whether the final execution is strong enough.
1. Influencer and UGC strategy
- Build a structured creator, influencer and UGC programme for Suvāa.
- Identify creators based on audience relevance, content quality, credibility, brand fit and commercial potential - not follower count alone.
- Lead or oversee outreach, briefs, negotiations, timelines, approvals and content usage rights.
- Decide how creator content should be deployed across organic posts, Suvāa-led advertisements and partnership ads.
- Create a dependable pipeline of UGC that can support both brand storytelling and customer acquisition.
- Evaluate influencer activity using both brand and performance indicators, including content quality, engagement, traffic, assisted conversions, direct sales and content reusability.
1. Growth and performance collaboration
- Work closely with the performance marketing team across Meta and Google.
- Participate in regular reviews of business, channel and creative performance.
- Monitor metrics such as revenue, ad spend, MER, ROAS, CAC, CPM, CTR, frequency, hook rate, conversion rate, AOV, repeat rate and contribution margin.
- Identify whether a decline in performance is likely being driven by the creative, audience, offer, website, product, inventory or customer experience.
- Turn performance findings into clear creative hypotheses, briefs and testing priorities.
- Ensure that performance marketing learns from the brand - and that the brand learns from performance data.
This is an oversight and collaboration responsibility. Deep expertise in campaign setup, account structuring or hands-on media buying is not required.
1. Customer journey and growth initiatives
- Review how customers experience Suvāa from discovery through purchase and post-purchase communication.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen conversion, trust, repeat purchase and advocacy.
- Work across digital and physical customer touchpoints, including the website, WhatsApp, pop-ups, packaging, Try & Buy and retention communication.
- Collaborate with operations and customer experience teams to bring recurring customer insights back into marketing and product communication.
- Explore new growth channels and experiments when relevant to the business.
1. PR, partnerships and international growth
- Evaluate when PR can meaningfully contribute to awareness, authority, credibility or commercial growth.
- Identify relevant editorial stories, cultural conversations and founder-led narratives.
- Explore brand collaborations, pop-ups and partnerships that provide strategic value.
- Support future international expansion through market research, customer definition, competitive analysis, pricing inputs, website adaptation, creators and go-to-market planning.
These will be activated based on business priorities rather than treated as constant, everyday workstreams. Who we are looking for
You could be a strong fit if you:
- Have approximately 3-5 years of relevant experience in brand, growth, content or integrated marketing.
- Have worked with a premium D2C, fashion, beauty, lifestyle, retail or consumer-facing business.
- Have personally shaped campaigns, content systems or growth initiatives - not only coordinated them.
- Understand how brand, creative, influencers, performance marketing, the website and customer experience work together.
- Can read performance data, ask the right questions and convert insights into creative action.
- Have excellent taste and a strong point of view, but can work constructively within an established brand vision.
- Can move comfortably between strategy, review and hands-on execution.
- Are organised enough to manage multiple workstreams operating at different cadences.
- Communicate clearly and collaborate well with founders, designers, agencies, creators, performance specialists and operations teams.
- Are comfortable working in a small team where ownership is high and job boundaries are not always rigid.
- Are excited by the chance to help build an Indian brand with global relevance.
This may not be the right role if you
- Want to define the brand independently of the Founder.
- Prefer a role focused only on strategy, presentations or agency management.
- Are exclusively a social media manager, influencer manager or performance marketer.
- Need a large team and highly specialised role boundaries to operate effectively.
- View brand and commercial performance as separate responsibilities.
- Are uncomfortable reviewing work closely or stepping into execution when required.
What success could look like Within the first year, we should see:
- Stronger consistency across Suvāa’s customer-facing touchpoints.
- A more structured and recognisable organic and performance content system.
- Better-planned and better-executed product launches.
- A reliable pipeline of useful, on-brand UGC and creator content.
- Faster translation of performance insights into creative action.
- Improved acquisition, conversion and retention outcomes.
- Clearer cross-functional ownership and fewer gaps between planning and execution.
- A brand that grows without losing its distinctiveness.
