About the role

Kalawati Steels has sold steel and building material in Varanasi for over 35 years. You are the counter at our Bachhaon branch. Every rupee that enters the business passes through a bill you made. Our stock moves in sut, pieces and kilograms depending on the brand, and the customer in front of you is usually in a hurry. Speed with zero errors is the entire job.

Work location: Kalawati Steels, Bachhaon, Varanasi. Interview at Head Office, Varanasi.

Full time, permanent, in office, 6 days a week.

What you will do

1. Make GST invoices in the ERP with the correct brand, grade, size, unit, quantity, rate and tax on every bill.
2. Convert correctly between sut, pieces and kilogram on every bill and quotation. Know which brand sells in which unit.
3. Make quotations for walk-in customers and contractors from the approved rate list.
4. Generate e-way bills and delivery challans and hand the full document set to the driver before the vehicle moves.
5. Match what is billed to what is loaded and to the weighbridge slip. No gap.
6.



Collect cash, UPI and cheques at the counter and post the receipt against the correct bill immediately.
7. Never change a rate without written approval. Never edit a printed bill without a recorded reason.
8. Hand over the bill register, cash and documents to the accountant at closing.
9. Handle returns and short weight cases through the correct credit note process.

Who we want
1. 12th pass minimum, graduate preferred.
2. 1 to 5 years of billing experience in steel, cement, hardware, building material or distribution.
3. Hands-on billing software: Tally, Busy, Marg or any retail ERP.
4. Has personally generated e-way bills on the GST portal.
5. Quick and accurate mental arithmetic.
6. Reports to Bachhaon daily.

Not for you if You cannot convert pieces to weight, or you have never made an e-way bill.
