Role: Assistant Vice President Application Architect

Role Overview

We are looking for a senior Application Architect with strong experience in solution architecture, presales and RFPs. The role will lead application architecture and technical solutioning for large and complex bids.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the application architecture and technical solutioning for RFPs/RFIs/RFQs from requirement analysis to final submission independently.
- Analyse business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable, secure and high-performing application architectures.
- Define HLD, application components, technology stack, APIs, integrations, data flows and deployment architecture. Develop solution blueprints, architecture diagrams, and recommend tools and technology tailored to client needs
- Drive application modernization using microservices, cloud-native, API-led and event-driven architectures.
- Perform application sizing, effort estimation, resource estimation and costing.
- Prepare and review technical proposals, architecture diagrams, BoQ/BoM, assumptions, dependencies and compliance responses.
- Collaborate with Sales, Delivery, Infrastructure, Security teams, OEMs for end-to-end solutioning, if required.
- Participate in client workshops, technical presentations, solution discussions and bid clarifications.




- Define reusable architecture patterns, components and solution assets.
- Mentor other architects and teams members as needed.

Required Experience & Skills

- 15-20 years of experience in Application/Solution Architecture and Presales.
- B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (mandatory).
- An active Application Architecture, Cloud Architect Professional/Expert is mandatory.
- Strong experience in handling end-to-end RFPs, from requirement analysis through solutioning, estimation and submission.
- Experience in application sizing, estimation, costing and technical proposal preparation.
- Solid stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills.
- Strong experience in handling complete RFP lifecycle, preferably for large enterprise, government or digital transformation programs.
- Proven track record in evaluating COTS tools (CMS, DMS, workflow, rules engine, cache, search, API gateways,etc).
- Strong experience with application design patterns, APIs, microservices, middleware, and integration architectures.
- Expertise in system design, cloud-native principles, scalability, and performance optimization.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and automation in the application lifecycle.
- Demonstrated ability to create solution documents, technical write-ups, and client-facing presentations.
