Job Overview

Maha Fire and Security Solutions Services is looking for skilled and hardworking Fire Fighting Draftsman for industrial MEP project work. Candidates should have practical knowledge of electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting at industrial sites.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed Fire Hydrant System layouts and piping drawings.
- Prepare Fire Sprinkler System layouts, hose reel and landing valve drawings.
- Prepare Fire Pump Room layouts, fire water tank and pump connection drawings.
- Prepare GA, shop, working and as-built drawings.
- Develop pipe routing, riser diagrams, sections and detailed installation drawings.
- Coordinate fire-fighting drawings with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, architectural and structural drawings.
- Check drawings for clashes and revise them according to site conditions and consultant comments.
- Conduct site measurements and update drawings as per actual installation.
- Prepare drawing revisions, drawing registers and maintain proper documentation.
- Assist engineers in BOQ, quantity take-off and material estimation.
- Prepare drawings for client/consultant approval and authority submissions where required.
- Ensure drawings follow project specifications and applicable fire-safety requirements.
- Provide drawing support to site and execution teams for technical clarifications.

Eligibility / Qualifications

- ITI / Certificate in Draftsman,



or
- Diploma in Mechanical / Civil Engineering, or
- Diploma/qualification in MEP or relevant technical field.

Experience:

- 2–5 years preferred for a mid-level position.
- Fresher’s with strong AutoCAD and basic fire-fighting knowledge may be considered for junior positions.
- Experience specifically in Fire Hydrant / Fire Fighting / MEP projects is preferred.

Required Technical Skills

- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD 2D – mandatory.
- Knowledge of Fire Hydrant and Fire Fighting piping layouts.
- Knowledge of sprinkler systems and fire pump rooms.
- Ability to read architectural, structural and MEP drawings.
- Knowledge of Revit MEP / BIM – preferred.
- Knowledge of BOQ and quantity take-off – preferred.
- Good understanding of fire-fighting drawings, symbols, pipe sizes and equipment.
- Knowledge of NBC / NFPA / relevant IS standards is an advantage.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Good attention to detail and ability to complete drawings within deadlines.
