Job SummaryThe Audio Visual (AV) Support Engineer is responsible for the end-to-end setup, operation, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and project execution of AV infrastructure across conference rooms, boardrooms, town hall venues, and digital signage spaces. The candidate will manage Unified Communications platforms (MTR, Zoom Rooms), lead executive event execution, and work closely with network, IT, and vendor teams to maintain maximum uptime and high-quality delivery.

Key Responsibilities1. Operational & Technical AV Support

- Provide Level 1 to Level 3 day-to-day technical support for meeting spaces, boardrooms, and event areas.
- Operate and troubleshoot Unified Communications platforms, including Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR), Zoom Rooms, Poly, D Ten, Logitech Group, and Neat devices.
- Manage and maintain AV control systems, displays, switchers, extenders, and touch panels (Crestron, Extron, AMX, HDBaseT).
- Configure and troubleshoot audio/video routing, audio mixers, sound reinforcement (Bose, JBL, Shure), and Dante audio networks.
- Perform AV rack assembly, structured cabling identification, port tracing, and equipment integration.

2. Event Support & Executive Broadcasts

- Lead technical preparation and live support for town halls, webinars, fireside chats, executive sessions, and all-hands events.
- Manage audio mixing, camera tracking, live feed monitoring, teleprompter operations, and signal distribution during broadcasts.
- Conduct pre-event dry runs and coordinate directly with event managers and business leaders to capture specific setup requirements.

3. Preventative Maintenance (PPM) & Asset Management

- Execute regular Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) routines, floor walkthroughs, and daily health checks across all AV/VC infrastructure.
- Maintain accurate technical inventory, asset tracking,



and software/firmware logs for all room devices and peripherals.
- Assist in Bill of Quantities (BOQ) preparation for room upgrades and current deployments.

4. Networking, Service Desk & Vendor Management

- Resolve incidents and service requests within SLA guidelines using IT ticketing systems.
- Perform basic IP network troubleshooting, including VLANs, DHCP, DNS, and switch configuration related to AV-over-IP and Dante setups.
- Coordinate directly with OEMs, suppliers, and third-party vendors for equipment repairs, RMAs, and warranty escalations.
- Provide end-user demonstrations, training, and simple operating guides to staff and executive teams.

Required Qualifications & Experience Tiers Junior Tier (3–5 Years)

- Hands-on experience supporting daily AV operations, display setups, and basic meeting room connectivity.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, basic control panels, and microphones.
- Proven capability in managing ticketing platforms, following SOPs, and escalating issues appropriately.

Mid Tier (5–8 Years)

- Strong proficiency with Crestron, Extron, Dante networking, HDBaseT, and DSP systems.
- Experience independently managing large-scale town halls, live streaming, multi-mic mixing, and event logistics.
- Working knowledge of basic IT networking (DHCP, DNS, IP camera setup, switch port identification).
- Capability to train junior personnel and lead preventative maintenance cycles.

Senior Tier (8+ Years / Lead Level)

- Advanced knowledge of AV system architecture, AV-over-IP deployments, and vendor SLA management.
- Proven track record in AV project planning, BOQ assistance, lifecycle upgrades, and executive-level event support.
- Ability to formulate SOPs, health check templates, and root-cause analysis (RCA) reports for hardware/software failures.

Preferred Certifications (Good to Have)

- AVIXA: Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) or Microsoft Teams Rooms AVIXA
- Audio & Hardware: Dante (Level 1/2), Shure, Netgear AV Level 1
- Control Systems: Crestron / Extron / HDBaseT Master Certifications
- Networking: Cisco CCNA or Basic Networking fundamentals
