Responsibilities

- Oversee the daily operations of the Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD) ensuring productive and timely processing of sterile instruments.

- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards related to sterilization and infection control.

- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of sterilization supplies and equipment, ensuring availability and proper functioning.

- Coordinate with surgical and nursing teams to meet their sterilization needs effectively.

- Implement and monitor quality assurance programs to ensure high standards of service delivery.

- Provide training and guidance to CSSD staff on sterilization techniques and safety protocols.





- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to safety and hygiene standards.

- Collaborate with the hospital management to develop and update protocols and standards for sterilization processes.

- Handle emergency requests for sterile instruments and supplies efficiently.

- Maintain accurate records and documentation of sterilization processes and equipment maintenance.
