Its core practice areas include international corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, capital markets, derivatives, and project finance. The firm works with a diverse range of clients on complex cross-border and domestic matters, offering exposure to high-impact legal work and sophisticated financial transactions.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Associate role in the corporate law and banking division, based in Mumbai. The Associate will draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents for corporate, banking, and finance matters, including M&A;, private equity, capital markets, and project finance deals.

Responsibilities include conducting legal and financial due diligence, preparing legal opinions and memoranda, and assisting in structuring transactions in line with regulatory requirements. The role involves liaising with clients, counterparties, and regulators, attending meetings and closings, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate execution of mandates. The Associate will also research legal developments,



support litigation related to banking and finance matters, and contribute to internal knowledge management.

Qualifications

- Strong Corporate Law knowledge, including company law, securities regulation, and banking and finance laws.
- Robust Analytical Skills and Due Diligence capabilities for reviewing documents, identifying risks, and assessing legal and financial implications.
- Effective Communication skills, including clear drafting, professional client interaction, and the ability to present complex issues succinctly.
- Understanding of Finance concepts relevant to corporate transactions, capital markets, and structured banking products.
- LL.B. from a recognized law school; additional qualifications in corporate or securities law are an advantage.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in corporate, banking, or finance practice (experience with M&A;, private equity, or capital markets preferred).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple matters, and maintain attention to detail under tight timelines.
- High professional integrity, collaborative mindset, and willingness to learn and take ownership of responsibilities.
