Job Summary The Assistant Professor of Hindi will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses in Hindi, conducting academic and research activities, mentoring students, and contributing to the overall development of the department and institution.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver lectures and conduct tutorials, seminars, and practical/academic activities related to Hindi language and literature.
- Prepare lesson plans, course materials, assignments, question papers, and other academic resources.
- Evaluate students through internal assessments, examinations, presentations, assignments, and other appropriate methods.
- Guide and mentor students in academic and career-related matters.
- Participate in departmental meetings, academic committees, workshops, conferences, and institutional activities.
- Undertake research in Hindi language, literature, linguistics, culture, or related areas.
- Publish research papers in reputed journals and present research at seminars/conferences.
- Assist in curriculum development and other academic initiatives.
- Maintain accurate academic records and comply with institutional policies and applicable higher-education regulations.
- Participate in extension activities, cultural programs,



and other activities organized by the institution.
- Contribute to accreditation, documentation, and quality-assurance activities when required.

Educational Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Hindi or a relevant/allied subject from a recognized university with the required minimum percentage as prescribed by the applicable regulatory authority.
- NET in Hindi or an applicable equivalent qualification, wherever required.
- Ph.D. in Hindi/relevant field will be an advantage and may be required/preferred depending on the institution and applicable regulations.
