Accountant – Logistics & Transportation - Sekaran Latha Transportation

We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Accountant to join our logistics and transportation business.

The ideal candidate should have good accounting knowledge, be well-versed in Microsoft Excel, and be able to maintain accurate financial records. Previous experience in logistics, transportation, or a similar industry will be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities
- Maintain accurate records of income, expenses, payments and receipts
- Prepare and maintain Excel spreadsheets and financial reports
- Manage invoices and payment records
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Perform bank and account reconciliations
- Track transportation-related expenses and costs
- Maintain records related to drivers, vehicles, fuel and other business expenses
- Follow up on outstanding payments when required
- Assist with monthly accounting and financial reporting
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records




- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as required
- P&L; reports generation

Requirements

- Previous experience in an accounting role preferred
- Valuable knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills are essential
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Good communication skills
- Experience with accounting software is an advantage
- Knowledge of Hindi is an added advantage
- Experience in logistics, transportation, fleet management or a related business is preferred
