Job Summary
As an Analyst in the Financial Institutions Group (FIG), India, you will support the day-to-day management and growth of the FIG franchise through business analytics, management reporting, portfolio management, client intelligence, KYC coordination, and business governance activities. The role works closely with FIG bankers, product partners, risk, compliance, operations, and regional stakeholders to ensure efficient business management and high-quality client support.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain regular management information reports, dashboards, and business performance packs.
- Monitor business metrics including revenues, pipelines, client activity, wallet opportunities, and portfolio trends.
- Track and update pipeline reports, deal trackers, and business development initiatives.
- Compile and analyse business data to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Maintain reporting databases and ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of management information
- Support preparation and maintenance of client account plans and relationship reviews.
- Conduct industry research and gather market intelligence on clients, sectors, and competitors.
- Prepare briefing notes and background materials for client meetings and senior management interactions.
- Coordinate customer onboarding, KYC reviews, sanctions screening, and customer due diligence requirements.
- Track KYC renewal timelines and ensure timely completion of documentation in accordance with ANZ policies and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with implementation of business initiatives, regulatory projects, and process improvement activities.
- Support preparation of presentations, management papers, business reviews, and leadership updates.
Requirements
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Graduate qualification in Commerce, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
- 2-3 years of experience in banking. FIG/ Corp team experience will be beneficial
- Understanding of banking regulation and local market nuances.
- Understanding of the credit and documentation principles
- Ability to form effective working relationships with senior bankers, product partners and internal stakeholders.
- Robust problem-solving ability, growth mindset and capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear client materials and senior management updates
- High attention to detail and accuracy, particularly around pipeline, revenue, portfolio, KYC and transaction information
