Role Overview

We are seeking a vigilant and experienced Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager of Security to lead the protection of our manufacturing facility in Samakhiali. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safeguarding company assets, enforcing strict access controls, monitoring material movement, and ensuring a safe, incident-free environment for all employees and contractors. This role requires strong leadership to manage contracted security personnel and effective liaising skills with local authorities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Security Operations & Access Control

- Oversee 24/7 physical security operations across plant gates, process areas, warehouses, and the perimeter.
- Manage and enforce strict access control systems (biometrics, boom barriers, visitor management) for employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Ensure optimal deployment, supervision, and ongoing training of the on-site security guard force.
- Monitor CCTV systems and electronic surveillance to identify and resolve abnormal incidents.

2. Material Movement & Loss Prevention

- Supervise the inward and outward movement of raw materials, finished goods, consumables, and scrap.
- Conduct stringent gate checks and documentation verification to prevent theft, pilferage, and fraud.
- Collaborate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure zero revenue leakage during dispatches.

3. Emergency Response & Vigilance





- Act as the first line of defense and primary security coordinator during emergencies, such as fires, industrial accidents, or natural disasters.
- Monitor the local industrial relations (IR) climate, gathering intelligence to proactively prevent sabotage, strikes, or labor unrest.
- Investigate all security breaches, safety violations, and theft attempts, providing detailed root-cause analysis and incident reports to management.

4. Compliance & Local Liaising

- Maintain strong relationships and liaise effectively with local police, law enforcement, fire departments, and neighboring industrial establishments.
- Ensure all security protocols comply with organizational policies, the Factories Act, and local statutory regulations.
- Maintain accurate security logs, gate registers, and audit documents.

Candidate Requirements

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. Certifications in Industrial Security or HSE are advantageous.
- Experience: 6 to 10+ years of core experience in industrial security within a heavy manufacturing environment (steel, pipe, solar, cement, etc.).
- Background Preference: Ex-Armed Forces (Army, Navy, Air Force) or Paramilitary personnel (Inspector/Subedar equivalent rank) are highly preferred.
- Core Skills: Strong leadership and team management, crisis management, proficiency with contemporary surveillance systems (CCTV, access software), and excellent communication skills.
- Language: Fluency in Hindi and Gujarati is essential for effective local communication.
