Role Description This is a remote internship role for an AI Engineer Intern. The intern will assist in designing, prototyping, and testing AI models that support Laneway’s consulting, technology, and media projects.

Day-to-day tasks may include exploring datasets, implementing pattern recognition algorithms, experimenting with neural networks, and contributing to basic NLP features. The intern will help in integrating AI components into software applications under guidance from senior team members, documenting findings,



and presenting insights to support product and solution development. The role provides exposure to real-world business challenges and collaborative work with consultants, engineers, and marketing professionals.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Computer Science and basic Software Development skills, including familiarity with at least one programming language commonly used in AI (e.g., Python).
- Knowledge of Pattern Recognition and Neural Networks, with the ability to understand and implement core machine learning concepts.
- Interest or coursework in Natural Language Processing (NLP), with exposure to text processing, language models, or conversational AI considered an advantage.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Comfort working with data, analytical thinking, and attention to detail in experimentation and documentation.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, communicate clearly, and collaborate in a diverse, cross-functional team.
- Familiarity with AI frameworks or libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn) and version control tools (e.g., Git) is beneficial.
