Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for Agronomists, based in Bihar with some flexibility for work from home. Agronomists will conduct field visits to assess crop conditions, soil health, and irrigation systems, and provide practical recommendations to improve productivity and sustainability.

The role involves designing and implementing modern farming practices, supporting nursery and plantation projects,



and guiding farmers on optimal use of inputs such as seeds, fertilizers, and crop protection products. Agronomists will deliver crop advisory services, prepare technical reports, and collaborate with internal teams to develop agronomy-based solutions for clients and projects. The position also includes training and engaging with farmers, monitoring project performance, and contributing to continuous improvement of Agribist’s agricultural programs.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of agronomy, crop production, soil science, and irrigation management.
- Experience in field-based advisory, farm management, and implementation of modern farming practices.
- Ability to analyze field data, prepare technical reports, and use digital tools for monitoring and documentation.
- Effective communication skills for farmer training, stakeholder engagement, and collaborative work with teams.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Soil Science, or a related discipline.
- Familiarity with sustainable agriculture, integrated nutrient and pest management, and climate-resilient farming approaches.
- Willingness to travel within Bihar for regular field visits and project oversight.
- Previous experience working with farmer communities, agribusiness projects, or government/NGO agricultural initiatives is an advantage.
