About the Role

Jatin Tagra & Co., Chartered Accountants, is looking for an Advocate – Tax, Regulatory & Civil Litigation to join our Gurugram office.

The role offers hands-on exposure to Income Tax litigation, regulatory proceedings before DR/SR/RG, society/RWA matters, and District Court litigation. We are looking for someone with strong legal drafting, research and case-handling skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Draft replies, petitions, appeals, applications, rejoinders, written submissions and legal representations.
- Handle Income Tax litigation, including assessment/reassessment proceedings, penalty matters, appeals before CIT(A)/JCIT(A), ITAT matters and related proceedings.
- Handle matters before the District Registrar (DR), State Registrar (SR) and Registrar General (RG), Haryana, particularly matters under the Haryana Registration and Regulation of Societies framework.
- Assist in and independently handle District Court matters, including preparation of pleadings, applications, affidavits, evidence and case files.
- Conduct detailed legal research on statutes, rules, notifications and judicial precedents.
- Prepare case briefs, chronologies, synopsis of facts and hearing notes.




- Coordinate with clients, government departments, counsels and other authorities.
- Attend hearings and assist/represent in litigation and regulatory proceedings, wherever applicable.

Qualifications & Skills

- LL.B. from a recognized university.
- Enrolment with the Bar Council for the Advocate position.
- Prior litigation experience preferred.
- Strong legal drafting and research skills are essential.
- Working knowledge of Income Tax law, civil procedure and regulatory proceedings will be preferred.
- Ability to independently understand case records and develop factual and legal arguments.
- Positive written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation

₹25,000 per month onwards, depending upon experience, drafting ability and practical litigation exposure.

Work Location: 210, 2nd Floor, Ocus Quantum, Sector 51, Gurugram – 122003

Work Mode: On-site

Office Timing: 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM

Working Days: Monday to Saturday
