nAbout the Role

n

nPlans and designs manufacturing processes for a production facility. Analyzes assembly, fabrication, machining, and other processes. Maximizes efficiency by optimization of layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization. Determines the parts, equipment, tools, and processes needed in order to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specifications.

n1. Ensure manufacturability of engineering designs and engineering changes

n2. Conduct time and method studies establishing time standards for manufacturing operations.

n3. Support internal and external teams during the concept development process for the industrialization

nof customer projects

n4. Identify, qualify and develop new equipment suppliers. Build relationships to ensure thorough

nunderstanding and consistent execution of standards

n5.



Maintain and ensure supplier compliance to equipment standards by creating technical specifications

nand effective project management through timely design reviews, validation and installation.

n6. Provide equipment cost estimating for new program customer RFQ’s

n7. Develop standards for plant layouts, work instructions, process flow layout, set-up procedures while

nadhering to safety, quality and productivity procedures and policies.

n8. Conduct line balancing studies, process simulations and material flow studies to achieve optimum

nbalance between man and machine

n9. Develop and manage process FMEA’s and other process documentation across all global locations.

n10. Ensure global compliance with IATF16949 and other quality, environmental, manufacturing and

ncustomer standard requirements.

n11. Perform other duties as assigned.

nQualifications

n

nRequired Education & Experience

n1. Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering.

n2. 2+ years of work experience in an automotive manufacturing environment or integrator shop.

n3. Metals processing experience such as welding, riveting, stamping, assembly and fastening

n4. Automotive seating structures experience preferred.
