About the role

Kalawati Steels has sold steel and building material in Varanasi for over 35 years. We are hiring 6 accountants for our branches at Bachhaon, Chunar, Adalpura and Dagmagpur. You keep the books of a live steel counter clean enough that the owner can open any customer, any day, any brand and see the truth in one minute. On a 12 MT load, one wrong entry is real money.

Work location: Bachhaon, Chunar, Adalpura or Dagmagpur branch (posting as per requirement). Interview at Head Office, Varanasi.

Full time, permanent, in office, 6 days a week.

What you will do

1. Daily entry of all purchase, sales, purchase return, sales return, receipt, payment, contra and journal vouchers. Zero backlog at day end.
2. Maintain customer and supplier ledgers that tie exactly to the ERP and to the physical bill file.
3. Full GST cycle: GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B preparation, ITC matching against GSTR-2B, follow up with suppliers on every mismatch.
4. Daily bank reconciliation of all branch accounts including UPI and cheque clearing.
5. Daily physical cash tally with the branch supervisor.
6.



Daily collection and outstanding report. Call overdue customers and log every follow up.
7. Debit and credit notes for rate difference, short weight and returns.
8. Month end and year end schedules, ledger confirmations and stock valuation support for the CA.
9. File every bill, challan, e-way bill and weighbridge slip so any person can find it in one minute.

Who we want
1. B.Com or M.Com with 2 to 6 years as an accountant in trading, distribution, retail or manufacturing. Steel, cement, hardware or building material experience is a solid plus.
2. Daily hands-on Tally Prime or Tally ERP 9. Busy or Marg acceptable.
3. Has personally prepared GST returns and matched ITC, not only data entry.
4. Working Excel: VLOOKUP, pivot, filters, reconciliation.
5. Lives near or can travel daily to the branch location.

Not for you if Your experience is only data entry, or Tally is on your CV but you have not used it every day.
