Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to oversee and manage the day-to-day financial operations of our travel agency and club membership services. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of direct experience handling accounts within the travel industry, with a solid grasp of vendor payments (hotels, airlines, transport providers), GST filing for tourism services, client billing, and revenue reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities

Day-to-Day Accounting: Maintain complete financial records, daily ledgers, and general ledger accounts using accounting software (Tally / Zoho Books / QuickBooks).

Vendor & Supplier Reconciliation: Process and reconcile payments to hotel suppliers, flight consolidators, transport operators, and local tour partners.

Client Billing & Invoicing: Issue accurate invoices, manage accounts receivable, collect payments for tour packages/club memberships, and track outstanding balances.

Commission & Margin Tracking: Monitor travel agent commissions, refunds, cancellations, and advance booking deposits accurately.

Taxation & Compliance: Handle GST calculations, filing, and Input Tax Credit (ITC) reconciliation specific to travel and hospitality billing, as well as TDS calculations.

Bank & Cash Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations, monitor cash flow,



and manage petty cash for daily operational expenses.

Reporting: Prepare monthly Profit & Loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports for management review.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or Finance/Accounting.

Experience: 2+ years of continuous accounting experience in a Travel Agency, Tour Operation, or Hospitality company (Mandatory).

Technical Skills

High proficiency in Tally Prime, Zoho Books, or similar accounting platforms.

Advanced knowledge of MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, data reconciliation).

Strong working knowledge of GST laws, TDS, and Indian tax compliance for travel services.

Core Competencies: Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, ability to handle multi-vendor invoices, and good communication skills.
