Backend Developer – Node.js & WhatsApp Meta API

Krishivan Technologies is looking for a Backend Developer with strong experience in Node.js and hands-on knowledge of the WhatsApp Meta Cloud API.

You will work on our WhatsApp-based communication system and backend APIs supporting Krishivan’s web and mobile applications.

Responsibilities

- Develop backend services using Node.js and Express.js
- Build and maintain REST APIs
- Integrate and manage the WhatsApp Meta Cloud API
- Handle WhatsApp webhooks, incoming/outgoing messages, templates and message status events
- Build chat and conversation management workflows
- Connect WhatsApp conversations with users, FPOs and platform entities
- Work with PostgreSQL and MongoDB
- Design database schemas and optimize queries
- Build APIs for users, messages, conversations and other platform modules
- Implement authentication and role-based access
- Integrate third-party APIs
- Debug and resolve backend and WhatsApp integration issues
- Work closely with frontend and product teams
- Maintain and improve existing backend systems

Required Skills




- Solid knowledge of Node.js
- Experience with Express.js
- Hands-on experience with WhatsApp Meta Cloud API / WhatsApp Business API — Mandatory
- Experience working with WhatsApp webhooks
- Good understanding of WhatsApp templates, messaging flows and status callbacks
- Strong knowledge of REST API development
- Experience with PostgreSQL
- Experience with MongoDB
- Knowledge of JWT/authentication and API security
- Git and GitHub experience
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

Experience

Candidates should have practical experience building backend applications and integrating APIs.

Candidates without hands-on WhatsApp Meta API experience will not be considered.
