Role: Expert Network Engineer Location: Remote/Local to Pune/Chennai/Bengaluru/Hyderbad) Occasional Travel needed Long term Contract Job Description Role Overview - The Expert Network Engineer is responsible for the design and implementation of enterprise and data-center-wide voice and data network solutions aligned with architecture and business models. - Owns developing, implementing, and maintaining Network, Security/Threat, and Voice solutions, along with network documentation, standards, and capacity planning. - Interacts and consults directly with clients to collect solution requirements and coordinate implementation. What You Will Do - Support all network environments for clients. - Provide L3 Operations support for investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving network communications and operations issues impacting client, backbone access, or performance. - Design, engineer, and implement complex network solutions across a variety of disciplines, security postures, access control, and infrastructure. - Own Incident Management, Request Fulfillment, Change Management, Event Management, and Problem Management for all client environments. - Perform a consultative role for internal and external customers at all levels of the organization. - Proactively monitor client network performance and recommend improvements. - Drive and implement network solutions-based architectures to increase efficiencies. - Contribute proactively to documentation, automation, and process improvement. - Provide strategic technical direction on highly complex network projects, including design approach and systems technology selection. - Perform client and market research to define and qualify strategy and direction. - Research and develop creative solutions around existing and future network technologies; create product roadmaps and write user stories/requirements. - Regularly lead self and others, acting as Product SME or specialist.



- Manage multiple projects and plan the network roadmap. - Analyze current and future IT industry trends for potential impact on network systems architecture. Required Qualifications - Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar role and 12+ years overall within the network space. - Strong, hands-on VMware NSX experience — this is the primary technical focus for this search. - Solid core routing and switching fundamentals (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, EIGRP, BGP/eBGP, MPLS, SNMP, VPN, SSH). - Hands-on F5 load balancing experience. - Firewall experience: Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA. - Extensive knowledge of Cisco's product portfolio: routers, switches, wireless, ACS, and ISE. - Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent customer support capabilities. - Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to carry out assigned tasks with minimal supervision. - Methodical problem-resolving skills and mastery of high-level and detailed network design. - Experience designing, engineering, and implementing Software Defined Networking. Preferred Qualifications - Cloud networking experience in Azure or AWS (VPCs/VNets, NSGs, Direct Connect/ExpressRoute, VPN connectivity for hybrid cloud architectures). - Advanced knowledge of additional routing and switching protocols beyond core fundamentals. - Experience with other load balancing technologies such as Netscaler, A10. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Cisco certifications such as CCNP, CCDP, CCIE, or CCDE.



- AWS Certified Advanced Networking. - Microsoft Azure certifications such as AZ-700 (Azure Network Engineer Associate) or AZ-305 (Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
