Job Description

Professional Experience

Candidates should have 6 to 8 years of hands-on experience in the .NET ecosystem, focusing on backend development and architecture.

Technical Skills

- Proficiency in C#, .NET (Core), RESTful API design, and SQL is essential for building scalable, integrated services.

- Experience with PostgreSQL, including the pgvector extension for AI/ML vector operations, is a plus.

- Experience working with .NET 10 and knowledge of its new features is an advantage.

- Knowledge of logging and monitoring mechanisms, including OpenTelemetry for distributed tracing, metrics, and observability, is highly valuable.

Cloud and Development Patterns

- Familiarity with Azure services and modern development patterns like REPR supports cloud deployment and maintainable code.

- Understanding of scalable architectural patterns such as:

- CQRS (Command Query Responsibility Segregation)

- DDD (Domain-Driven Design)

- EDA (Event-Driven Architecture)

- Multi-tenant application architecture

Quality and Productivity

- A quality-driven mindset with experience using AI-assisted tools enhances clean code and advanced developer productivity.

Business Logic Migration

- Migrate and refactor existing business logic currently spread across multiple repositories into a modern, domain-driven architecture (DDD).

- Rebuild the core system of the Smartenance SaaS platform using .NET in a scalable, modular, and maintainable structure.

- Ensure functional parity with the legacy system while improving maintainability, testability, and domain clarity.

API Design and Integration

- Design and implement a single unified API that serves all platform services, replacing fragmented legacy interfaces.

- Follow an OpenAPI-first approach, defining specifications upfront to ensure consistency, reusability, and clear contracts between teams.

- Integrate existing logic into the recent service layer.

- Build secure, high-performance API endpoints that integrate seamlessly with internal and external systems.





Authentication & Security

- Implement and maintain PingOne authentication and authorization within the new unified API architecture.

- Support migration from Azure AD–based authentication to PingOne, ensuring secure identity flows, seamless user access, and minimal disruption during transition.

- Ensure all API endpoints follow enterprise-grade security standards, including token validation, claims-based access, and secure session handling.

Database Development

- Design and implement robust relational database structures with clean domain- and tenant-level separation to ensure performance, scalability, and reliability.

- Support migrations from legacy database structures(Azure SQL and CosmosDB) into the new domain-aligned model in PostgreSQL.
