About the Role

K R Mangalam University's Entrepreneurship & Innovation Centre (KEIC) is looking for a dynamic, academically robust faculty member to teach, mentor, and conduct research in entrepreneurship and innovation. This is an opportunity to shape the next generation of founders and intrapreneurs combining rigorous classroom teaching with hands-on engagement in the startup ecosystem, incubation activities, and applied research.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Curriculum

- Design, develop, and deliver courses such as Entrepreneurship, New Venture Creation, Innovation Management, and Business Planning (and related electives) at the PGDM/MBA level
- Contribute to curriculum design and accreditation processes (NBA/NAAC/AACSB, as applicable)

Mentoring & Student Engagement

- Mentor student-led startups, business plan competitions, and incubation/E-Cell activities
- Guide student projects, live projects, internships, and dissertations focused on entrepreneurship and venture development

Research & Scholarship

- Conduct high-quality research and publish in peer-reviewed journals
- Contribute to case studies and working papers on entrepreneurship and innovation

Ecosystem & Industry Engagement

- Build and sustain relationships with startups, incubators, VCs, and industry partners for guest lectures, live projects, and placement/internship support





Institutional Contribution

- Participate in academic administration, committees, and outreach (FDPs, MDPs, conferences, seminars)
- Support admissions, branding, and institutional events as needed

Required Qualifications

Education

- Ph.D./Fellow (FPM) in Entrepreneurship, Strategy, Management, or a closely related discipline from a reputed institute (IMT, IMI, XLRI, IIMs, or equivalent AICTE/UGC-recognized institutions)
- Candidates with an MBA/PGDM from top-tier B-schools plus relevant industry/entrepreneurial experience, who are currently pursuing or willing to pursue a Ph.D., will also be considered

Experience

- Prior teaching experience at a B-school and/or hands-on experience as an entrepreneur, startup founder, or consultant in the startup ecosystem is highly desirable

Research

- Demonstrated interest or publication record in entrepreneurship, innovation, or related areas (journals, case studies, conference papers)

Skills

- Strong classroom delivery, communication, and mentoring ability
- Familiarity with case-method teaching, simulations, and experiential learning pedagogies
- Active network within the startup/investor ecosystem
- Comfort with academic administration and accreditation documentation

Preferred Attributes

- Prior founder/co-founder experience or significant exposure to startups/incubators
- Certification or training in entrepreneurship education (e.g., NEN, Babson, Stanford-affiliated programs)
- Established industry network of investors, accelerators, and startup founders
