Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Sage X3 Technical Consultant with strong expertise in Sage X3 development, customization, integration, reporting, and technical support. The candidate will work closely with functional consultants, project managers, and business users to design, develop, and implement scalable technical solutions within the Sage X3 environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and customize Sage X3 based on approved functional and business requirements.
- Design and develop screens, windows, objects, tables, fields, inquiries, workflows, and reports in Sage X3.
- Develop and maintain Sage X3 programs using 4GL / Sage X3 scripting and development tools.
- Design, develop, and support integrations between Sage X3 and third-party applications using REST/SOAP APIs, web services, import/export templates, and other integration mechanisms.
- Develop and maintain reports using Crystal Reports and Sage X3 reporting tools.
- Prepare technical specifications based on functional requirements.
- Work closely with functional consultants to assess customization requirements and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
- Develop data migration programs, interfaces, and validation routines.
- Support master and transactional data migration during ERP implementations.
- Perform unit testing and support SIT, UAT, go-live, and post-go-live activities.
- Troubleshoot application, integration, database, and performance-related issues.
- Perform root-cause analysis and provide permanent solutions for recurring technical issues.
- Support Sage X3 upgrades, patches, hotfixes, and version migrations.
- Follow development standards, version control, documentation, and change-management procedures.




- Provide technical support and knowledge transfer to internal teams and customers.

Technical Skills

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in:

- Sage X3 4GL / scripting
- Sage X3 development and customization
- Sage X3 Objects, Windows, Screens, Tables, and Dictionaries
- REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, and integrations
- Import/Export templates
- Crystal Reports
- SQL and relational databases
- Sage X3 workflows
- Batch jobs and scheduled processes
- Data migration and data validation
- Debugging and performance optimization
- Sage X3 administration and configuration
- Web/Syracuse architecture and related components
- Knowledge of JavaScript, JSON, XML, SQL Server/Oracle, Git/version control, and cloud environments would be an advantage.

Required Experience

- 3–7+ years of ERP technical consulting/development experience with strong hands-on Sage X3 experience.
- Experience in at least 2–3 end-to-end Sage X3 implementation projects.
- Solid experience with Sage X3 customization, integrations, reporting, and data migration.
- Good understanding of ERP business processes across Finance, Sales, Purchasing, Inventory, Distribution, and Manufacturing.
- Ability to translate functional specifications into robust technical solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and client-facing skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as within functional and technical project teams.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Sage X3 technical certification would be an advantage.
- Previous experience with UAE/GCC Sage X3 implementations is preferred.
- Experience integrating Sage X3 with e-commerce platforms, WMS, POS, banking systems, payment gateways, CRM, HRMS, and other third-party applications would be an advantage.
